IBPSA-USA, San Diego Chapter is a regional affiliate of IBPSA-USA. We started at the end of 2016 and keep meeting ever since. Our goal is to be the support group for energy modeling.

 

We've been there - either on 7PM on a Tuesday night and dealing those unmet hours, googling responding to LEED EAp1 comments regarding this obscure definitions in ASHRAE 90.1, or trying to see if you can model this new technology for a proposal. We've all been there. Need a energy-modeler friend? Holla.

Our (formal) Chapter Missions 

1. Provide services and networking opportunities

2. Assist local community as clearinghouse expert on all things simulation and how it can better aid design decisions

3. Bring together like-minded professionals, researchers, and software developers for collaboration

4. Provide resources for users such as educational materials and open access to appropriate channels 

5. Support students to energy modeling simulation careers
